"In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate,
May the salvation of Allah be upon our prophet and guide Mohammad,
Dear fellow citizens,
Not long ago, we were watching for the appearance of the crescent heralding the beginning of the month of Ramadan, and today we are on the last day of this blessed month. May God Almighty accept our fasting, our good deeds and our prayers. May I wish you best wishes.
This happy event offers me the opportunity to address you, my fellow citizens, and invite you to be more vigilant, committed and respectful of the preventive measures against the Covid-19 that continues to claim lives and destroy the world economy, notwithstanding the huge resources mobilized to address its serious impacts in various areas.
The values of solidarity shown by our valiant people have triumphed during this holy month, and we are called today, as we experience the joy of Eid, to maintain the same spirit and values.
I would not fail, on this great occasion, to highlight the sacrifices of our brother Palestinian people, who is leading a heroic resistance to the occupation and the aggression against Al Aqsa Mosque, the first Qibla, in al Quds. Despite their suffering, we wish them a happy Eid, in Gaza and the West Bank.
My fellow citizens,
I reiterate my best wishes that the values of mutual aid and brotherhood will last forever.
I wish our patients a speedy recovery and pray to God the Almighty to surround those who have left us, in this blessed month, with His holy mercy.
I wish you a happy feast of Eid El Fitr, and may Allah grant us his blessings and preserve our country from any misfortune
Long live free, sovereign, serene and prosperous Algeria.
Eternal glory to our martyrs."
