Out of 23,251,503 voters registered on electoral rolls, 22,296,077 are called upon to cast their votes nationwide, the rest (955.426) are Algerian electors abroad.
The electors will have to choose their future deputies at the Lower House of Parliament among 11,300 candidates appearing on 938 lists, 841 of which belong to 63 political parties and three party alliances, in addition to independent candidates.
A total of 12,115 polling centers, hosting 52,734 polling stations, supervised by some 500,000 trained workers, have been devoted to that purpose.
The polling stations will open from 8:00 to 19:00, except for special, duly authorized cases.
In addition, some 955,426 members of the national community abroad have been voting since Saturday in various parts of the world.
Voting in mobile polling stations started Monday for nomadic populations and those living in remote areas in the country's south.
