All facilitations granted to Arab, international observers

ALGIERS- All facilitations have been granted to Arab and international observers to allow them carry out their missions in best conditions, said Wednesday in Algiers Said Abu Ali, the head of Arab League's observer mission for the legislative elections of 4 May 2017.

"All Arab and international observers, present in Algeria, hailed the high level of preparations and facilitations granted to observers in all provinces of the country, to help them accomplish their task freely," Said Abu Ali told the press during his visit, with the delegation accompanying him, to the administrative headquarters of the province of Algiers, to enquire about the preparations for 4 May elections.

The cooperation of Algerian authorities with observers shows Algeria's experience in holding elections, he said, adding that this would contribute to the strengthening of the democratic process in Algeria.

Arab League's observer mission will dispatch its 121 members in all the provinces of the country.

Three observer teams will be dispatched in the province of Algiers, which has the largest number of voters, 644 polling centres and 5,130 polling stations, he said.
