Arab handball championship of cup winners clubs: ES Arzew beat Oman's Ahly Sedab 30-28

TUNIS (Tunisia)- ES Arzew, one of the two Algerian representatives in the Arab handball championship of cup winners clubs, being held in Sfax, Tunisia, beat its Omani counterpart Ahly Sedab (30-28) on Monday, the fourth day of Group B.

It is ES Arzew's first victory in the tournament, as it lost its previous three games, respectively against Qatar's SC (34-41), Saudi Arabia's Ahly Jeddah (28-34) and Tunisia's CS Sakiet Ezzit (26-38). 

Algeria's second representative in the tournament, ES Ain Touta defeated Morocco's MC Oujda (34-30).

It is ES Ain Touta's second win. The first was against Qatar's Al-Gharrafa (25-23) on Thursday.

On Tuesday, the fifth and last day of the pool stage, the two Algerian clubs will play against Libyan opponents.

ES Ain Touta will play Al-Ahly of Tripoli (16:00 local time) and ES Arzew will compete against Al-Ittihad of Tripoli (18:00 local time).

In addition to ES Arzew, group B includes title's holder CS Sakiet Ezzit, Qatar Club, Ahly Jeddah, Ittihad of Tripoli and Ahly Sedab.

Group A is made up of ES Ain Touta, Tunisia's Jammel Handball Club, Qatar's Al-Gharrafa, Al-Ahly of Tripoli and MC Oujda.
