ALGIERS- The 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games (JM-2021), initially scheduled from 25 June to 5 July 2021 in Oran, has been postponed until 2022, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sid Ali Khaldi, told APS Tuesday.
ALGIERS- The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MJS) announced Sunday that all the sporting events (championships and cups), in all the disciplines will be postponed as from Monday, March 16 until April 5, as part of preventive measures to the new coronavirus.
CAIRO- The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Friday the postponement of the next two qualifying rounds, initially scheduled for 25 and 31 March, due to the spread of the pandemic of the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

ALGIERS- Nearly one hundred tennis players from 29 countries will compete in the ITF international youth tournament of Ben Aknoun, to be held March 2-7 at the Tennis Club Les Palmiers of Algiers, the Algerian Tennis Federation told APS on Sunday.
DAKAR- Algerian boxers Mohamed Flissi (52 kg) and Younes Nemouchi (75 kg), qualified for 2020 Summer Olympics of Tokyo, won the gold medal on Friday in the finals of the pre-Olympic tournament which took place in Dakar (Senegal).
