BATNA-The Sardinian warbler, a small and very discreet migratory passerine bird, was observed and photographed for the first time in Algeria by two naturalist photographers on Metlili Moutain, 60 km south of Batna, announced Tuesday the NatAurès collective.

Discovery of two rare gazelles in west of Algeria

TISSEMSILT- Two gazelles of the rare species "Atlantic gazelle", were discovered in the municipality of Ammari (the province of Tissemsilt; 250 km west of Algiers), the forest conservation directorate said Wednesday.
SKIKDA- Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Kamel Beldjoud affirmed Wednesday, in Skikda, that “the State is willing to take all the necessary measures to support the victims of the earthquake which hit Sunday the province.”

Over 10 quintals of cannabis seized in one week

ALGIERS-A quantity of cannabis amounting to more than 10 quintals, introduced via the borders with Morocco, was seized and 13 drug traffickers were arrested by combined detachments of the People's National Army (ANP) during the period from 18 to 24 November, the Ministry of National Defense announced Wednesday in a communiqué.
ANNABA- The cement plant Hadjar Soud (Skikda), coming under the Algerian public cement group GICA, exported 41,000 tonnes of clinker to the island of Haiti and the Dominican Republic from the port of Annaba.
ORAN- The fertilization system through drip irrigation has been introduced, for the first time in Oran, in the citrus growing by setting up a fertilization station that enables increasing the production and improving the product calibration volume in order to export it, the project’s originator said on Tuesday.
