ALGIERS- The slight increase in the number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases, over the few past days, in Algeria is mainly due to non-compliance with barrier measures, the spokesman of the scientific committee for monitoring the progress of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr Djamel Fourar, said.

ALGIERS- The minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, said Thursday all prevention and medical resources have been made available to provide an appropriate care to patients impacted by the Covid-19 in the country's hospitals.

ALGIERS- The announcement by the World Health Organization (WHO) of the resumption of clinical trials on hydroxychloroquine, nine days after having suspended them, reinforces the position of Algeria which has decided not to give up the use of this molecule in the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) treatment.

ORAN - The Oran University Hospital (EHU) has introduced the non-invasive ventilation (NIV) technique to care for Covid 19 patients with respiratory distress, director of the hospital, Dr. Mohamed Mansouri told APS.

ALGIERS- Algeria will continue the use of the therapeutic protocol based on hydroxychloroquine against the new coronavirus (COVID19), which has contributed "effectively" to the recovery of people suffering from this virus in Algeria, without any side effects, said Wednesday in Algiers Bekkat Berkani, member of the Scientific Committee in charge of monitoring the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

ALGIERS-As from next week, the price of protection masks against Covid-19 will not exceed DZD, announced Tuesday the National Association of Traders and Craftsmen (ANCA).
