ALGIERS- The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications announced on Sunday the launch of a contest for the best stamp design illustrating recovery, by the Algerian State, of resistance heroes' skulls, on the sidelines of the 58th Independence Day, said the Ministry in a Communiqué. 

AIN DEFLA-Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abderrahmane Benbouzid ou Sunday ruled out the possibility of a new lockdown currently in the provinces experiencing an increasing propagation of the Covid-19 pandemic unless there is a “compelling reason.”     

SETIF - The Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, said Thursday in Setif that "25 to 30% of the total confirmed cases of infection by the new coronavirus in Algeria are of family origin."

ANP to give new impetus to health sector

ALGIERS-The National Pharmaceuticals Agency (ANPP) will give a new impetus to the health sector, said Wednesday Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abderrahmane Benbouzid.

TINDOUF – Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad announced Tuesday in Tindouf, that the Government was working for the gradual generalization of tablets in schools and high schools in order to reduce weight of school bag.

BLIDA- Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abderrahmane Benbouzid stressed Monday, in Blida, the need for citizens’ mobilization and to respect prevention measures to fight against the coronavirus.  


ALGIERS- Minister for pharmaceutical industry Lotfi Benbahmed on Sunday in Algiers underlined the need for promoting local production of drugs in order to cover the country’s needs within two years and thus reduce import bill.

ALGIERS- The first joint innovation center between the National Agency for the Promotion and Development of Technology Parks (ANPT) and the Chinese company ZTE opened Tuesday at the Techno park of Sidi Abdellah in Algiers. The center will be the starting point for testing to launch the fifth generation (5G) technology in Algeria.

BOUIRA- At least 180,000 boxes of hydroxy-chloroquine drugs will be "soon" provided to the central hospital pharmacy (PCH) in order to strengthen the fight against the new Coronavirus pandemic, Deputy Minister for Pharmaceutical Industry, Abderrahmane Lotfi Djamel Benbahmad announced Tuesday in Bouira.

ALGIERS- The slight increase in the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases isn’t worrying for the moment, said Sunday, in Algiers, the spokesman of the Scientific Committee for Monitoring the Progress of Coronavirus Pandemic Djamel Fourar.
