ALGIERS- The member of the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) adopted Wednesday a framework act on scientific research and technological development and another law on the National Council of Scientific Research and Technologies, in a plenary session chaired by the acting speaker of the house, Salah Goudjil, in the presence of the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chems-Eddine Chitour.

 ALGIERS – Six units of scientific research in the sector of agriculture, rural development and fisheries have been installed Monday in Algiers, at the National Institute of Agricultural Development (INVA), in the presence of Minister Cherif Omari.

ALGIERS -The People's National Assembly (APN) examined, on Saturday afternoon in a plenary, the draft law setting out the tasks, composition and organization of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research.

ALGIERS- The ministries of Agriculture and Higher Education signed Tuesday, in Algiers, six inter-ministerial decrees on the creation of six research units in agricultural institutes.

 

ORAN (Algeria)- Algerian academic research on energy is "leading in Africa," General Manager of Research Scientific and Technological Development (DG-RSDT), Hafid Aourag said Monday during an international conference on renewable energies held in Oran.

ALGIERS- Head of State Abdelkader Bensalah stressed the "need for hoisting the place of Algerian researchers and scientists inside the country and abroad," said a communiqué of the Presidency of the Republic.

M'SILA (Algeria)- A convention on the promotion of scientific and technical research was signed Monday between Mohamed Boudiaf University of M'sila (248-km southeast of Algiers) and the national Company of Industrial Equipment Maintenance (MEI), based in the same province.

ALGIERS- An Inter-ministerial Council which met on Saturday under the chairmanship of Premier Noureddine Bedoui has approved a roadmap drafted by researchers and technological development experts. The roadmap focusses on the use of the scientific research outcomes in all the sectors of activity and the revival of the mechanisms on partnership between researchers and economic companies, said a communiqué of the Prime Minister services.

ALGIERS- Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui praised on Wednesday, during a Governmental meeting chaired by him, the creation of the National Scientific and Technological Research Council, emphasizing the need to ensure better profitability of the State's major investments  in the field of communication, said the Prime Minister's Office in a statement.

CONSTANTINE –  The scientific research in Constantine will be "soon" reinforced by 300 researchers in various fields, notably in mechanics and pharmacy, announced Monday in Constantine (341 km east of Algiers) Minister of Higher Education Tayeb Bouzid.
