ALGIERS- Three military cargo aircrafts of the Air Forces of the People’s National Army landed Friday evening in Algiers, coming from China, loaded with 41 tons of medical equipment destined to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, said Saturday a communiqué of the National Defense Ministry.

ALGIERS-Three hundred and eighty-five (385) confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), 302 recoveries and 8 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Algeria, announced Thursday Spokesperson of the Scientific Committee in charge of monitoring the coronavirus pandemic evolution Professor Djamel Fourar.

BLIDA- Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abderrahmane Benbouzid stressed Monday, in Blida, the need for citizens’ mobilization and to respect prevention measures to fight against the coronavirus.  

ALGIERS- The government has decided to extend until 13 July the current lockdown measures, taken as part of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, and which provide for its lifting in 19 provinces and for its maintaining from 8 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. in the 29 other provinces, said Monday a communiqué of the Prime Minister’s Office.

ALGIERS- A total of 298 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, 303 recoveries and eight deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, said Monday, in Algiers, the spokesman of the scientific committee for monitoring the progress of coronavirus pandemic Djamel Fourar.

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune instructed Sunday Prime minister to study measures to take with the scientific committee for monitoring the progress of coronavirus pandemic to decide on the actions to be taken in the next few days to break the chain of infection.

ALGIERS- A total of 2,500 coronavirus screening tests are carried out every day nationwide, said Director General of Pasteur Institute of Algeria Dr. Fawzi Derrar.
