Algeria, Gabon sign air transport agreement

LIBREVILLE – Algeria and Gabon signed an Air Transport Agreement, allowing Air Algerie and Tassili Airlines to open routes to Gabon, said diplomatic sources.
WASHINGTON- Algeria took part Thursday in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty Four (G-24), held on the sidelines of the Spring meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
MEDEA-Energy Minister Noureddine Boutara highlighted Thursday in Medea the need to “start converting our resources to hydrocarbon” and “further develop petrochemical industry” in Algeria with a view to decreasing the impact of fluctuations witnessed by international markets.
ALGIERS – Car dealer KIV Group and Chinese car manufacturer Foton specializing in the manufacturing of heavy vehicles signed Thursday in Algiers a deal on the creation of joint company Foton Motors Algeria, for the establishment of truck assembly and manufacturing plant in Annaba.

ORAN- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has inaugurated on Wednesday in Oran (432 km west of Algiers) an extension of the Steel Complex "Tosyali Algeria" as well as a plant for the manufacturing of steel tubes in the economic hub of Béthioua (40km east of Oran administrative centre).
