ALGIERS- A total of 240 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, 146 recoveries and seven deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, said Friday, in Algiers, the spokesman of the scientific committee for monitoring the progress of coronavirus pandemic Djamel Fourar.

TIPAZA- The project of El-Hamdania Centre Port of Cherchell (Tipaza) will be submitted to the Government for re-examination, said Tuesday, in Tipaza, Minister of Public Works and Transport Farouk Chiali.

ALGIERS- National oil company Sonatrach and Tunisian electricity and gas company STEG have agreed to renew their natural gas sales and purchase agreement for eight years, until 2027, Sonatrach said in a statement.

ALGIERS- Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday that his country remains "firmly committed" to strengthening solidarity and cooperation with Africa to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, promising to help the continent to have access the vaccine once it is developed.
