ALGIERS - Minister of Environment, Nassira Benharrats, who participated in the meeting of the African Union (AU) Specialized Technical Committee (CTS) on Agriculture, Rural Development, Water and Environment called for a unified African vision in order to take up the environmental challenges of the post-Covid-19 pandemic, a statement from the ministry said.

ALGIERS- Minister Environment Nassira Benharrats took part Monday in the extraordinary Arab Environment Ministers meeting, in which she presented the Algerian experience in the fight against marine pollution, emphasizing the need to find the appropriate solution to the oil tanker Safer docked on the west coast of Yemen since 2015, to prevent an environmental disaster, the ministry said in a statement.

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the Council of Ministers meeting he chaired Sunday, instructed the deputy minister for Sahara Environment to go to the country's south to establish an emergency plan on the fight against pollution in archaeological and tourist sites and for the improvement of the sewage system, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
