ALGIERS- Members of the Council of the Nation (Upper House) called, Sunday in Algiers, for a "deeper" study of the bill governing hydrocarbon activities through the organization of workshops and round tables involving all stakeholders and experts.
ALGIERS- Minister of Energy Mohamed Arkab on Tuesday presented the bill on hydrocarbons before the Economic and Financial Committee of the Council of the Nation, during a meeting chaired by Abdelkrim Mebarkia, the Committee’s vice-president, in presence of Minister of Relations with the parliament, Fethi Khouil.
ALGIERS- The Bill governing the hydrocarbons activities has been adopted Thursday by the majority of the People’s National Assembly members during a plenary session chaired by Speaker Slimane Chenine and attended by Minister of Energy and members of the government.
TIZI OUZOU- Minister of Energy Mohamed Arkab said Sunday, in Tizi Ouzou, that the bill on hydrocarbons aims to give the national hydrocarbon company Sonatrach all the means to continue developing the exploitation of conventional energy.
ALGIERS- Deputies of the People’s National Assembly called Tuesday, in Algiers, for the postponement of the bill on hydrocarbons until after the presidential election of 12 December to enable its drafters to take the necessary time to examine and enrich it within the framework of an inclusive dialogue involving all the stakeholders in the sector.
