ALGIERS- Three energy projects have reached an "advanced stage" of preparation between Algeria and Tanzania and will be executed in the next few months, Minister of Energy Youcef Yousfi said.
"Three projects, which had been under discussion between the two countries, are now in an advanced stage and will be carried out in the coming months," Yousfi said following a meeting with his Tanzanian counterpart, Souspeter Muhongo.
The two countries will "create a joint venture between the national electricity and gas company Sonelgaz and the Tanzanian firm for electricity distribution Tanesco," Yousfi said.
"The new joint venture will be operational in the next few months."
The two other projects are related to the distribution of butane gas and oil well drilling and production.
