Algeria, France ink eleven cooperation agreements in Paris

PARIS- Eleven cooperation agreements have been signed between Algeria and France in Paris on Thursday, at the end of the 4th session of the High-Level Intergovernmental Committee, which was co-chaired by the two prime ministers, Ahmed Ouyahia and Edouard Philippe.

 The agreements concern the sectors of economy, higher education, vocational training, health, SMEs and Culture.

The two sides concluded a partnership agreement for high quality training in the fields of energy, electricity and industrial automation.

In the same respect, PSA-Peugeot Group, Algeria's Ministry of Vocational Training and Education, and France's Ministry of National Education signed a declaration of intent for the creation of a training centre in car engineering industry.

The two countries inked two framework agreements, one on research training and research on the French language and francophone expressions, while the other concerns the school network RME, which comprises 16 Algerian national higher institutes, 15 Algerian preparatory schools and 7 French engineering schools.

Two other agreements have been concluded in the field of health: a memorandum of understanding between Sanofi Pasteur group and the national pharmaceutical group Saidal for the production of vaccines, and an agreement for the production of oncology products and family health in Algeria by Ipsen Laboratory, whose medicines are sold in more than 115 countries all over the world.

In the cultural field, three agreements have been signed: the renewal of the agreement between the national centres of book (CNL) of the two countries for 2018-2020, a framework agreement between the Higher Institute of Performing Arts (ISMAS) and Cannes Regional Acting School (ERAC), and an annual implementation agreement between ISMAS and ERAC for 2017-2018.

A memorandum of understanding was inked between the Club of Mitidja Entrepreneurs and Industrialists (CEIMI) and the Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CPME Auvergne Rhone-Alpes).
