Algerian singer Idir passes away

ALGIERS – Idir, icon of the Algerian Berber music died on Saturday in a Paris hospital of a long illness, announced his family on his official Facebook page. He was 71.

HCA creates digital library on website

ALGIERS-The High Commission for Amazighity (HCA) on Saturday announced the creation of a digital library on its website in order to “highlight its publications.”
ALGIERS)- Short film "I Will Tell Everything to God" by Mohamed Benabdallah and documentary "Let Them All Go" by Algerian-Canadian Sarah Nasser are scheduled for the 36th Africa Views Film Festival (Vues d'Afrique), to be held online because of the coronavirus pandemic (April 17-26), organizers said.
ALGIERS-Culture Minister Malika Bendouda on Wednesday congratulated Algerian novelist Abdelouahab Aissaoui, winner of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF-Booker) for his novel “Eddiwan al-Isbarti (The Spartan Court).
