ALGIERS-Five hundred and twenty-seven new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), 332 recoveries and 10 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Algeria, announced Thursday Spokesperson of the Scientific Committee in charge of monitoring the coronavirus pandemic evolution Professor Djamel Fourar.

ALGIERS- Four hundred and ninety-four (494) new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 276 recoveries and 7 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, said Monday in Algiers, the spokesman of the Scientific Committee for monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic pandemic, Dr. Djamel Fourar.

SETIF (Algiers)- Farhat Abbas University of Setif (300-km east of Algiers) has designed and manufactured an emergency respiratory medical device, pending approval by the relevant authorities, the rector of the university, Abdelkrim Beniaiche, said Sunday.

ALGIERS- The minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abderrahmane Benbouzid gave instructions Saturday to the Central Hospital Pharmacy to start distributing protection equipment against the Covid-19 to the medical staff "as soon as possible."

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired Thursday a working session to discuss the development of the health situation in the country, "in the light of the increase of the confirmed Covid-19 cases," the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
