Voter turnout to be announced Friday

ALGIERS- Voter turnout in the legislative elections at the close of the polls Thursday at 8.00 p.m. will be announced in a press conference that will be led Friday, in Algiers, by Minister of Interior and Local Authorities Noureddine Bedoui.
ALGIERS- Five terrorists were eliminated and two others were arrested and a large quantity of munitions was recovered by the People's National Army in April 2017, according to an Army report.

Voter turnout reaches 33.53% at 5 p.m.

ALGIERS- The voter turnout at the legislative elections 2017 hit 33.53% at 5 p.m., Minister of Interior and Local Authorities Noureddine Bedoui said Thursday in Algiers.
ALGIERS- The voting for the legislative elections, which started Thursday morning ended in all the provinces of the country.
ALGIERS- The chairman of the High Independent Authority for Election Monitoring (HIISE), Abdelouahab Derbal, has expected "higher voter turnout than in 2012," announcing a turnout of 36.25% at 3 p.m., according to the figures provided by HIISE offices nationwide and abroad.
ALGIERS-The vote counting has started at 7:00 p.m. while the voting operation has been extended by one hour in some polling stations of 43 provinces.
ALGIERS- Voting has been extended until 8 p.m. in 43 provinces of the country and partially in 11 other, in order to enable registered to exercise their electoral right, the Ministry of Interior and Local Authorities announced Thursday in a statement.

BATNA- Voting for the legislative elections of 4 May 2017 has been extended until 8 p.m. in the province of Batna (435-km east of Algiers), said Thursday local authorities.
ALGIERS-Communication Minister Hamid Grine affirmed Thursday in Algiers that the international observers, which came to Algeria part of the legislative polls on 4 May 2017, unanimously welcomed the performance and professionalism of the national press during the election campaign, which had not witnessed "violence, invective or slander."
ALGIERS – The media coverage of the legislative elections 2017 is marked by a good organization at the International Press Centre where 1000 Algerian journalist and 70 foreign correspondents are covering the event, said Communication Ministry’s media director Zerimi Fatma Zahra.
