Prime minister kicks off Baccalaureate examination from Annaba 

ANNABA – Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad on Sunday in Annaba kicked off the Baccalaureate examination for 2019-2020 school year.

At the examination centre Chaib-Larbi Middle Education School in Annaba downtown, Djerad has opened the Arabic language copies. He also inquired about the conditions of the running of the examination.

The Baccalaureate this year is taking place in "exceptional health situation caused by the novel Coronavirus pandemic."

Speaking to candidates, Djerad said that "in spite of its repercussions, the Coronavirus pandemic incites us to develop reflexes to protect ourselves, our health and that of the others."

The Premier also expressed optimism that “Baccalaureate examination will take place in good conditions. Both candidates and their parents are aware of the need for proper preparation. The State has mobilized all the means for the success of this examination, which organization and running is closely monitored by the president of the Republic and the national education minister."

 Last year, the success rate in the Baccalaureate examination was 54.56%.
