"The State will not tolerate any attempt to undermine its stability and security and will relentlessly continue to combat terrorism and dry up its funding sources, protect Algeria's territorial integrity and firmly respond to all those who attempt to undermine citizens' security," said Bedoui while chairing a coordination meeting with his department's executives ahead of the start of the 2018-2019 school year.
"Algeria is a State with institutions. Those who want to take advantage of the situation ahead of each election should know that Algerian citizens are deeply committed to their country, support its institutions and give a special and unconditional importance to its security and stability," he added.
"Only few years ago, all Algerian citizens responded favourably to the call for peace and national reconciliation, giving a lesson of cohesion and nationalism," said Bedoui.
In this regard, the Interior minister called on Algerian citizens not to succumb to calls of those who want to sow doubts and who are not aware of internal and external challenges facing the country.
In this respect, Bedoui hailed the "bravery of Algeria's children, who have reached a high level of awareness and are acting as a safety valve guaranteeing country's security and refusing to follow those who call for Fitna and are jealous of Algeria's achievements under the wise leadership of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who have always given the priority to the wellbeing of citizens in all development strategies."
