Most of the martyrs, victims of the tragic accident are members of the People’s National Army (ANP) as well as members of their families, the source added.
The Ilyushin plane of the Algerian Air Force, which flied from Boufarik military airport to Tindouf and Béchar (in the South of Algeria) crashed at 7:50 a.m. near the air base of Boufarik, on uninhabited agricultural field.

In this regard, Lt General Gaid Salah "interrupted his inspection visit to the 2nd Military Region and immediately headed to the scene to inquire about the extent of the damage and take the necessary steps in such situations. He also ordered the creation of an inquiry committee to determine the circumstances of the accident," a statement of the National Defence Ministry said earlier.
