President Bouteflika calls on all Algerian society components to “back State’s institutions”

ALGIERS-President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has called all components of the Algerian society “to back State’s institutions to achieve development goals.”

In a message on the occasion of a scoping meeting between presidents of People’s Communal Assemblies (APC) and People’s Provincial Assemblies (APW) elected on 23 November, read on his behalf by the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic Habba El-Okbi, President Bouteflika called on “all society components to back State’s institutions, notably the commune, with a view to achieving development goals.”

The Head of State also urged all political partners to “pool their efforts to serve the Nation and citizens, and support our country’s development."

Held at the International conference centre (CIC) “Abdelatif Rahal,” the meeting is part of the celebration of the 51st national day of the commune which coincides with the promulgation of the law on commune on 18 January 1967.

The meeting focuses on several issues including the improvement of communes’ services performance and the revival of the sustainable development strategy in the light of the country’s new economic orientation and the relevant legal framework.
