ALGIERS- A school for conservation and restoration of the cultural properties of Algiers is set to open next academic year.

CONSTANTINE – Among all the pavilions of the exhibition housed in Ahmed Bey Palace in Constantine during Heritage Month, Pavilion Azzi is probably the one that evokes the best the splendor of yesteryear in this building that housed the headquarters of the last Beylik governor of eastern Algeria.

BECHAR (Algeria) - The province of Bechar counts several rock carvings sites in the regions of Taghit (90 km southeast of the capital) and Abadla (90 km south-west) but not covered by legal protection, exposing them daily to vandalism acts, degradation and, ultimately, to extinction.

SOUK AHRAS- Measures have been decided to protect archaeological sites in the province of Souk Ahras (600-km east of Algiers), especially by increasing surveillance to prevent possible trafficking, said the National Office of Cultural Properties Management (OGEBC).
