Fès – Oujda highway opens Monday

RABAT- Fès- Oujda highway (320km) which building started on January 2007, was inaugurated and opened to traffic Monday by the Moroccan Minister of transports Karim Ghellab.

This infrastructure needed a DH10.8 billion (1 euro = 11.50 DH) global investment and the construction was started by Moroccan group "Morocco Highways" (ADM).

The project was financed thanks to concessionary loans where intervened the Kuwaiti Fund for economic and social Arab development (FKDEA), the Arab Fund for economic and social development (FADES), the European Investment Bank (BEI) , and the Islamic Bank for development (BID).

In 2015 it will reach 1800km and will cost more than DH53 billion, according to ADM.
